In 2016, Secondary schools around East Ayrshire took part in a competition run by East Ayrshire Council to create their school catering brand. In order to be considered, the competing teams had to present their vision to a team of judges, and the team that came out on top was from St Joseph’s Academy.

For the past 3 months, the team at St Joseph’s Academy have been working together with Totalize Media to create a professional looking brand.

The launch of their “The Street” brand took place today, 12th January 2017 and to mark it, professional rugby player Mark Bennett, of the Glasgow Warriors player and silver medallist for the GB rugby team in the Rio Olympics attended. Mark was an ex-pupil of St Joseph’s Academy.

To launch the brand, they chose to put on a Mexican theme and in line with this the school has been re-branded with graphics, along with new animations and staff uniforms.
